BBC News School Report Challenge

Here are our finished Year 8 reports from our latest Practice News Day at Marden.

It’s Christmas time, but how do we celebrate here at Marden? What does Christmas mean to you?

This report has a Reality TV theme, what do Marden students and staff think following the success of Vicky Pattison in the latest series of ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here’?

Connor and Darcey worked on this report about the YouTube generation; how new jobs are being created from using social media.

After the birth of their second child, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s latest choice for a baby name, Saint, raised a few eyebrows. Jess and Amy reported on unusual baby names, and what the Marden staff and students thought of Saint West!

Our sports team analysed the unpredictability of this season’s Premier League. Chelsea languishing near the bottom, whilst Leicester City fly high, and Newcastle’s unexpected win against a resurgent Liverpool…

…and finally, the weather, with Alex, Arran and Tom.
