Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow!
Year 11 student Hannah Sparkes is raising money for a Newcastle Freeman Hostpital based charity, Charlie Bear for Cancer Care, and has made a tremendous sacrifice, shaving her head in support of her mum, who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
Here’s Hannah’s story:
“My mum has just started 18 sessions of chemotherapy cancer treatment at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. As her hair will soon fall out, I decided to have my head shaved alongside her.
Amber the hairdresser donated her fee to Charlie Bear For Cancer Care (reg. charity no. 10572134). Help me raise more by donating what you can to our Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/ Deborah-Goodall1/ , where, monies raised will go directly to Charlie Bear For Cancer Care. Or, donate in the collection box in the main foyer where monies raised will be shared between Charlie Bear For Cancer Care and the High Borrans Young Leadership Course (for which i am a mentor).”
Everyone at Marden is right behind Hannah for this amazing achievement, so please donate whatever you can in the collection box in the main foyer. Please click the links to find out more about Hannah’s chosen charities, or donate via her JustGiving page.
Well done Hannah!
