At Marden High, we are committed to providing all of our students with high-quality, unbiased, and impartial careers guidance to support their future career choices
One-to-One Career Interviews
In line with the Department for Education (DfE) guidelines, we ensure that every student receives at least one hour of individual careers advice and guidance during Key Stage 4. These interviews allow students to discuss their strengths, interests and career aspirations in a supportive environment. The conversations also help students explore various post-16 pathways including, A levels, BTECs, Cambridge Technicals, T levels and Apprenticeships.
This personalised support is an essential part of preparing our students for life beyond school, helping them make informed decisions about their next steps.
Our Careers Advisor: Mrs. Brennan
Our Careers Advisor, Mrs. Brennan, holds a Level 6 qualification in Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG). She is based in the Careers Hub, conveniently located next to the Learning Resource Centre (LRC).
Mrs. Brennan is here to support students in exploring their options and ensuring they have the right information to make informed decisions about their future. If students would like to book a one-to-one appointment, they can email Mrs. Brennan directly at [email protected]. Alternatively, if they are passing the Careers Hub and Mrs. Brennan is available, they are welcome to drop in for advice.
Supporting Future Success
Career education is not just about securing a job—it’s about helping students understand their potential, set goals and explore the wide range of opportunities available to them. Through individual guidance and our broader CEIAG programme, we aim to empower all of our students to make choices that will set them on the path to success.
