In the wake of the dreadful attack in Manchester last night, I am sure our thoughts are with the families who have been impacted upon. It is difficult to make sense of the loss we all feel when this sort of thing happens, but it is also affirming to see the acts of kindness and generosity of people who come to others aid. It reminds us of the strength and unity we can find in our communities. We have reflected with the children today on the importance of sometimes setting aside minor difficulties and disagreements, and on recognising the value of the time and experiences we have together in our own community. I am sure we will share the sentiment of the many messages of sympathy and solidarity we will see over the coming hours and days.
