On Wednesday 4th November, Marden High School celebrated the achievements of its 2026 Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award participants at our annual presentation evening. It was fantastic to see a full house, with students, families and staff coming together to celebrate this year’s awards.

116 students completed their Bronze expedition, making it our largest cohort to date and continuing the fantastic growth of the programme since it began three years ago.

Students have shown tremendous commitment, resilience and teamwork throughout their journey, developing valuable skills and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to all the staff who have supported the programme. In total, more than 25 members of Marden High School staff have contributed their time, knowledge and enthusiasm to make the programme possible.

Special thanks go to our expedition team: Mrs Russell, Mrs Vickers, Mr Aughton, Mr Turner and Miss Reed. We would also like to recognise the invaluable support of Mr Tueart, Mrs Thompson, Miss Keenan, Mrs Ramage and Miss Riddles. Their contributions to training, organisation, and student support have helped make the programme such a success.

Finally, a massive well done to all 116 students. It has been a pleasure to see you take on new challenges, support one another and grow in confidence throughout your DofE journey. We hope you look back on your experiences with pride and carry the friendships, skills and memories you have made with you for years to come.

You have been a fantastic group, and we wish you every success in whatever adventure comes next. We would love to see many of you continue your DofE journey at Silver!
