Year 8 – MARDEN BRIDGE – 1 : 3 – MARDEN HIGH
Year 7 and Year 8 vs Marden Bridge – Thursday, 18th Oct. away.
18 x Year 8s and 15 x Year 7s went to Marden Bridge to play some friendly 9-a-side matches.
The Year 8s had really benefited from their match the previous Thursday against John Spence and their positional play was much improved. In a series of 6 minute games, Marden eventually ran out the winners 3-1.
For the Year 7s, it was their first ever match and although they lost their match, the effort and commitment from the players was encouraging. A special mention of thanks to Eloise, who stepped in as goalkeeper although she had never put the goalie kit on before the game and did really well. Well done girls. Jolly hockey sticks!!!!!
