BURNSIDE – 2 : 1 – MARDEN HIGH

Match Report

The year 11’s got off to an unfortunate start to the season in more ways than one. Not only did they lose their opening game to Burnside 2-1 but they also lost striker Dan Towell to a dislocated knee cap.
Marden had much of the first half but just couldn’t seem to find the net and were caught on the break by a long ball over the top.
Cameron Woodhead managed to pull one back early in the second half but we just couldn’t get a second.
In fairness Burnside had a good second half and snatched the winner from the penalty spot.
