Following some successful appeals to the exam board, we are delighted to announce that our  headline exam score has increased!

Our 2014  first entry figure for the proportion of year 11 leavers gaining 5 or more A*-C grades including English and maths has risen from 75 to 77% .

Headteacher, Jonathan Morris, is pleased with the good news: “Last summer, all schools were warned by the exam regulation authority that there would be ‘volatility’ in this years results because of unexpected changes to assessment systems. Lots of schools have seen an unfortunate downturn in their results, but ours have held firm, despite the disruptions. I’m proud to say that this welcome increase is further confirmation of Marden’s place among the highest performing maintained schools in the region.”
