Thank you to parents for taking the time to complete our survey. There were 105 responses and the results were as follows:
| I would be interested in leasing a mobile device for my child: | 82.7% |
| My child already has a mobile device that I’m happy for them to use: | 10.6% |
| I do not wish my child to use a mobile device in lessons: | 6.7% |
The responses show that 93.3% of parents are in favour of pupils using mobile devices in lessons. These figures support the decision to proceed with the leasing scheme for those parents who wish to take advantage of it. We would like to again stress that this is entirely voluntary. Pupils are encouraged to use mobile devices in lessons where it will support learning and help develop independence. However, there is no compulsion for pupils to use mobile technology in class and lesson planning does not advantage those who have a device. We will provide links here shortly to the forms that are required in order to sign up. There will also be copies of the forms available in school for pupils to pick up. We will send a text message to parents when the forms are available.
