They are now offering a wide range of Distance Learning courses, from Care to Sport, all of which are free of charge.
This could be a fantastic opportunity for staff, or parents of pupils to access free training and qualifications that can be done at home.
On Tuesday, Year 9 sat in on a careers talk from former Marden student Josiah Riley, who spoke to them about studying at Cambridge and his current NanoScience PhD which he is studying! An invaluable and enlightening discussion from a former alumni!
Tyne Met College and Queen Alexandra Sixth Form are hosting their next Advice and Enrolment event next Tuesday, 6th December 5pm – 7pm.

This week, Year 10 and 11 students enjoyed a trip to the Port of Blyth. They took part in a team challenge in the afternoon, having to prepare and present their ideas to the rest of the group, very professionally!
The staff from the port made several comments about how impressed they were with their team work, professionalism, and innovative creative ideas.
2 teams were given a prize of £15 Amazon vouchers as they were joint winners.
Well done to all who took part!
Healthcare Science have an exciting opportunity for Year 10-13 students – it is a virtual work experience programme that pupils can complete at their own pace during half term 24th October – 4th November 2022 (around 10 hours).
There are only 300 places nationally, so we would encourage those interested to apply asap! Closing date for applications is 19th October.
