Well done to the Class of 2019 for outstanding exam results this year.
Congratulations to our students and staff on their excellent GCSE exam results this summer. The expertise and commitment of staff and the hard work and focus of students at Marden has meant that their results have been amongst the best in the region with the year group as a whole making significant positive progress.
The great majority of students achieved higher than their predicted grades, and indeed, a quarter of the students got a full grade higher in every one of their subjects, a fantastic achievement reflecting their positive attitudes and hard work.
93% achieving 9-4 grades in English
78% achieving 9-4 grades in Maths
78% English and maths combined
86% of all grades achieved at 4 or above
Marden High School prides itself on catering for the needs of each individual and this includes many very able students who are given the opportunities to achieve some of the best results in the country – 28% of all of the grades achieved by Marden students are in the very highest 9-7 category.
There have also been some superb successes for children who have had to overcome considerable adversity and personal difficulties. At Marden we really do work together to ensure that each person is supported to achieve their best, and it is just brilliant to see our children getting the results which will enable them to go on to fulfill their future study and career goals.
There have been many happy faces in school this morning as our Class of 2019 have been in to collect their results. They have done very well and it is pleasing to see that outcomes for our students have continued to rise this year. It is no more than they deserve, this is a fantastic group of young people and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
These results are a great testament to the hard work and commitment of our wonderful students and staff. We are immensely proud of them all.

Please bring any donations to the school’s reception or LRC and students will be rewarded with 10 house points. Thank you!
