BBC School report update: Uplands Community College

Leading up to the day of BBC School Report we will be updating this blog about what we’re working on and how the teams are doing. Over the next few days we will be aiming towards creating articles and features for our website. Groups have been organised for specific jobs on the day and they are currently working together preparing for the event. Everyone is feeling excited yet anxious about whether everything will go to plan.  Time is slowly disappearing and we are all putting the finishing touches to our preparation.

15th March 9am
So today’s the day! You can feel the excitement in the air, as year 9 Gifted and Talented English group get to work. There’s enthusiasm bubbling all around as everyone is currently preparing their articles and presenting their work to the camera! All our crews are getting ready for the busy day ahead.  We will be focusing on different teams throughout the day, to show you what everyone’s been getting up to.

Special Guest: Starring……………….. Tim Everest
We are so lucky to have Tim Everest, the editor and cameraman from the BBC here to help us. More on him later!
All groups are feeling to pressure at the moment and the tension is rising. The editorial team is really working hard and receiving jobs from all the other groups which is keeping them hard at work. Another student, Matt, has now joined the editorial team to help us all create the best possible website. He was a part of the media group so we have confidence that the website, when done, will be at a high standard. Overall, the whole editorial team is working together and most importantly, are enjoying the experience.
