Thank you to everyone who contributed to INKtober 2023, the annual drawing challenge in which students are challenged to create quick-fire sketches every day in October. The results are in! Here are a montage of some of the entries, and the winners!
Thanks to the Royal Navy for a great morning spent problem solving and team bonding with enthusiastic students who may be interested in a career in the Navy.
This Friday 17th November, we are supporting Children in Need with a non-uniform day at school. Voluntary contributions welcome.
Our school production of Matilda Jr. The Musical takes place on the 12th and 13th of December (with two different casts!)

On Tuesday, our Year 9s took part in a Careers Speed Dating event with North Tyneside Learning Trust! A huge thank you to all our visitors who gave up their time to come in and talk to the students! #CarpeDiem

A group of Year 9s today took part in the Youth Council debate at North Tyneside Council offices, as part of Local Democracy Week. After listening to a debate about local transport from two other schools. they then took part in a debate with Burnside College about lowering the voting age to 16, with Marden High in favour!
After opening remarks, the floor was open to debate, and at the end of the afternoon, a vote was cast which led to Marden being crowned the most convincing debating team, taking home the shield!
Well done to all who took part!
For two days, all students have been taking part in a Creativity Festival. As well as trips to Arran, France, Edinburgh Zoo and Bamburgh Castle, there have been a ‘Publish Me’ project, a ‘create your own sport’ activity, cake and chocolate making, print making, graffiti, photography, music and much much more.
