Last night we held another round of ‘Careers Conversations’ after school: experts from IT, Medical Research and the NHS all giving talks on possible future careers to our students.

Every week we will post a new tip to help students regarding their safety and conduct online. Tips from previous weeks are archived underneath. If there is anything you’d like to know specifically, please let us know, and for more information on use of technology and online safety for your child, or if you have any concerns, contact your child’s year head or any member of our pastoral team.

Our Open Evening for prospective parents and carers will take place in school on Wednesday 20th September 2023, between 6pm and 8pm. It is a great opportunity to meet teachers, tour the school and learn more about what we can do for your child.
The winners of the creative festivals battle of the bands was the Year 7 group, The Interpersonals – Bethany, Emmie, Fraser, Archie and Amy. A huge well done to everyone involved you all did a fantastic job!
We are now officially a School of Sanctuary! Our ‘supporting organisation’ temporary award has been upgraded after a successful review, and we recently attended an award ceremony to commemorate the event, which was covered on BBC Look North.
Well done to Miss Fenwick and her team for all their hard work this year!
For two days, all students have been taking part in a Creativity Festival. As well as trips to Arran, France, Edinburgh Zoo and Bamburgh Castle, there have been a ‘Publish Me’ project, a ‘create your own sport’ activity, cake and chocolate making, print making, graffiti, photography, music and much much more.
