Our fabulous dancers took part in the North Tyneside Dance Festival last week at The Parks. They performed extremely well and deserve praise and recognition for their efforts. Many congratulations to all concerned.

The English department with Year 7 during the World Book Day awards assembly.
The 20th anniversary of World Book Day took place on Thursday, and Marden were active participants as usual. Staff, Year 7 and Year 8 students were invited to dress as a literary character for the day. There was also a lunchtime quiz and Key Stage 3 students took part in literary activities and writing competitions with the English department all day.
In total, £200.30 was raised for BOOK AID. Well done to everyone who took part.

Friday’s end of half term non-uniform day, bake sale and raffle raised a massive £1,058.30, with the proceeds going towards Westgate Cat Shelter. Thanks to everyone for their generous donations. Have a great half term!
We’d like to thank everyone who voted in the Young Mayor elections. The successful candidate was announced on Friday evening and we’re delighted to say that our Year 8 student Oscar Daniel has been elected the new Young Mayor of North Tyneside!
