Year 11 Parents Evening 2020

Year 11 Parents Evening Bookings are now available through our parent portal. The Parents Evening takes place on the 22nd January 2020, from 4pm until 6:30pm. The booking system will close at 4pm on 21st January 2020.

Pupils will be bringing reports home at the end of Friday

Year 9 Guided Choices

On Monday the 20th January Year 9 will be making their provisional choices
in form time. Please take time to look at the ‘learning’ section of the
website and the ‘guided choices’ section. Here you will find the options
booklet and the assembly presentations about each of the subjects.

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Dog and Cat Shelter appeal. Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter were extremely grateful for all the food, toys and blankets raised for their animals and took delivery of all donations yesterday, bringing Winston the dog to help! Yet more brilliant selflessness from generous Marden students!

Reminder: End of Term Arrangements

After lunch on Friday 20 December, year 7-10 will be going down to St George’s Church to enjoy our school carol service, and students will be dismissed from the church following the service. This will be at approximately 2.15pm. Year 11 will be dismissed from school at 12.30pm, and are welcome to stay for lunch if required.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Food bank appeal.

The BAY Foodbank support people in North Tyneside who may be struggling and unable to afford to eat. Lots of people who work full time jobs may still need to use a food bank and very vulnerable people are supported by the amazing work that food banks do, so every single donation from generous Marden High students was very welcome at this time of year!

Non Uniform Day – Tomorrow (Friday 13 December)

Tomorrow (Friday 13 December) is Non Uniform Day and proceeds will go to “Smell The Roses” Charity. Festive ‘additions’ can be made including –

  • Christmas jumper

  • Festive Alice band

  • Festive earrings

  • Sprig of holly in your lapel

  • Festive T-shirt

 
Voluntary donations will be collected at the start of the day
