Congratulations to the Year 11 boys, who competed at the Tyne & Wear badminton final. They picked up two wins vs. St. Aidans & Whitburn, as well as a narrow defeat to Thorp and a 3-2 loss to RGS. The boys played exceptionally well and battled for every point and each other. Well done!
Congratulations to the Year 7 girls who came 4th at the North Tyneside 5-a-side football tournament. They put in a fantastic performance on Friday and showed great determination and resilience.
Thanks to all students who made cards in the LRC this week in support of Cullercoats Library.
All North Tyneside Libraries are facing cuts and closures due to council cuts and Marden High students have been showing their appreciation of books and reading by sending handmade cards to the library with messages inside of why they love to read.
Miss Seal took a total of 76 cards away with her on Friday and they are currently on display in Brown’s Salthouse in Cullercoats.
They will eventually be displayed either in the library or other local businesses so keep your eyes peeled!

Yesterday four Year 8 boys represented North Tyneside at the Tyne and Wear championships for Key Stage 3.
The Year 11 Parents Evening Bookings are now available through our parent portal. The Parents Evening takes place on the 7th February, from 4pm until 6:30pm. The booking system will close at 12pm on that day.

Mrs. Potter is holding a Valentine’s Day Poetry Competition, open to all year groups. Please email her your submissions no later than Monday 5 February and winners will receive a Valentine’s themed prize.
