In the last week of term before Christmas, Year 7 students took part in an afternoon celebrating Literary Heritage. They were briefed to dress up as famous literary characters from five selected authors for a special event, in which they stayed in character all afternoon and taught each other what they had learned from their research and reading.
On the last Wednesday of term the East block of Marden High School was turned into a spectacular light show as we revealed the fantastic work the Year 8 students produced on Super Learning Day last Friday.
Alongside the awesome light show that the Year 8 Science and Art students produced for Super Learning Day, the Media group also produced some excellent experimental Video and Photography work, using the same theme of light and primary colours.
Their brief was to be imaginative and creative with cameras on the school site, and produce a piece of art expressing visual motifs of red, green, blue or all three. Click on the tab below to see some of their work…
A selection of some of our Year 7 students’ artwork; they designed Christmas cards, with the winning one selected as Marden’s official card.
