Video Messages

By J Ranson25th May 2021

On Monday 12 July 2021 we hosted a remote transition evening for Year 7s joining us in September via Google Meet, where form tutors delivered a short presentation introducing themselves and explaining a little more about the role of a Year 7 Form Tutor.

If you were unable to attend or would like to refer to the information again, here is a recording of Mr Swain (7M’s tutor from September) delivering the presentation.

If you have any further queries or if there is anything that you would like to discuss about your child please do not hesitate to contact me, as Transition Coordinator and Head of Year 7, at [email protected].

The following videos will hopefully make you feel at home already at Marden!

Here is a Screencast of our usual ‘Welcome to Marden’ presentation. For those who want to have a look through at their own leisure, here is a link to the actual presentation.

A welcome message from our headteacher, Mr Snape:

Introducing Miss Laing, Mrs Atkinson and the rest of the Year 7 team 2021/22:

What is it like to be a Marden student? Find out from some current students, who discuss what they felt about transition, and also an introduction to Head of Year Miss Laing, and some of her team:

How do we get around? This short video tour points out where things are so it might give you a head start before September!
