Our Year 7 group have enjoyed a great first couple of days at High Borrans, taking part in all sorts of fun activities, including caving in the Yorkshire Dales, orienteering, kayaking, swimming and games round a camp fire!

Yesterday, a group of Year 7 students arrived at High Borrans for a week of fun activities. This morning’s itinerary includes caving, Ghyll scrambling & orienteering! Stay tuned for more updates!

The winners of the creative festivals battle of the bands was the Year 7 group, The Interpersonals – Bethany, Emmie, Fraser, Archie and Amy. A huge well done to everyone involved you all did a fantastic job!
For two days, all students have been taking part in a Creativity Festival. As well as trips to Arran, France, Edinburgh Zoo and Bamburgh Castle, there have been a ‘Publish Me’ project, a ‘create your own sport’ activity, cake and chocolate making, print making, graffiti, photography, music and much much more.

Our Sports Day on Monday was a tremendous success, with Alnwick just edging out Warkworth for the overall House trophy. Here’s a video montage of some of the highlights from a jam-packed day of events!
Last week, our School of Sanctuary group joined forces with Norham High, another School of Sanctuary organisation. This means that both schools have committed to a pledge to create a culture of welcome and inclusion for refugees and people seeking asylum.
In an event organised by Norham, and hosted by Marden, the two schools took part in a series of games and activities to promote teamwork, togetherness and recognising differences, all to celebrate the theme of Hope during Refugee Week.
