In April 2012, 8 staff and 43 Year 10 and Year 11 students visited New York City as part of a Business and Media trip, visiting NBC Studios, the Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and various shopping outlets…

This year Marden celebrated its 50th anniversary. On the 2nd of May this year, this short video was made to show a typical school day for the staff and students.
It was first shown at the Photography Exhibition that was part of Marden’s Golden Jubilee celebrations on the 8th of July.

Here is a look at what last year’s Year 7s did on their Super Learning Day – the theme was “What makes the Coast special?” The day was a mix of Creative Arts, Science and Media, and here is some of the photography and video work that was produced on the day.
Super Learning Days at Marden take a lot of planning, and last year’s took the form of a whispering campaign, building towards the day with small snippets of information, such as this teaser video, to give the students a flavour of the kind of creative work they might produce on the day.
