TRANSITION ACTIVITIES!
Please click here for the next Be Awesome, Go Big! activity for Year 6 students coming to Marden in September. We have been promoting these throughout the last few weeks of this term and this is the last one of the cycle. Session 9 is “Living Well”. All nine sessions can be found in the transition section of our Website!
We are delighted to share with you this new Transition video, introducing our form tutors for the 2020/21 academic year:
If you are a parent/carer of a Year 7 student next year, you should receive a letter by the end of this week indicating which form class your child will be in next year.
The letter is posted below, and also outlines all transition resources available on our website (including more introductory videos like this one), details about our return to school in September 2020 in line with national guidelines, and contact details if you wish to get in touch with us. This has also been added to our Transition Welcome Pack on the specially dedicated section of our website, along with other letters and important information.
Here is a great self help resource from Anna Freud to be used specifically over the summer, containing some useful strategies to improve your physical, emotional and social wellbeing.

Thank you for attending our transition Q&A!
Many thanks to everyone who took part in the Transition Q&A session earlier this term. It was a brilliant event and a great opportunity to interact with our new students.
Hosted by our Senior Leadership Team and Transition team, it was very well attended with all the questions and answers now found in the PDF document below, or in the Transition section of our website.
Whilst there, you’ll find our Be Awesome, Go Big package which students can enjoy as part of our Virtual Transition Programme this year. We’ve also added a folder to our Transition section which includes some lessons which you can enjoy at home. If you have any further questions relating to transition, please email [email protected].
