Congratulations to all the students who’s work was selected for last week’s Work of the Week. There was a particularly high amount of Year 11 students chosen by the curriculum leaders, and students each week are now being issued with certificates for the excellent work they are producing.
The ‘Work of the Week’ is fast becoming an important part of our rewards culture here at Marden. This week’s submissions reflect more excellent work going on across all areas and all year groups.
Congratulations to Year 7 students Rebecca and Maddy; Year 8 students Daisy, Skye and Matthew; Year 9 students Michela, Riley, Will and Sophie; Year 10 students Imogen and Daisy; and Year 11 student Nieve.
Here is an overview of the Extra Curricular activities available at Marden, including, where applicable, the times and locations they are taking place and the teachers running them.

Here are some images of our Year 11 trip to CERN in Switzerland last weekend.
Our Year 7 ‘Settling In’ evening is an opportunity to meet your child’s form tutor and discuss how they have started their time at Marden High School, both socially and academically. Other key members of staff will also be present for you to speak to, including Miss Laing (Year Coordinator), and members of our Senior Leadership team, including Mrs Reece, our SENDCO.
You will also be able to 
meet members of our Parent Teacher Association who will be serving refreshments.
Appointments will run from 17.30 – 19.30, and your child will be given a slip for you to indicate your preferred time slot before receiving an appointment from their form tutor. As meetings with form tutors will be brief (five minutes) we ask that you are punctual for your allocated slot.
Year 7 reports will sent home and available on Parent Portal before this date.
If you cannot make it on the evening, you can contact Miss Laing to arrange a phone call to discuss your child’s progress at another time.
