Marden High School would like to formally invite everyone in our school community to a forthcoming charity event organised by the Cullercoats Primary School PTA. The charity evening will take place at Cullercoats Crescent Club on Saturday 16 March at 7.00pm.
It is in aid of the Olly Bilcliffe Trust and there will be music from a live band and a disco. Tickets are £5 which includes a pie and pea supper.
This event is being organised by Cullercoats PTA. Please see the poster for more details.
Here is a poster of what activities there are available to do at lunchtime in school. For more information please ask the teacher running the activity.
Do you have any unwanted Christmas gifts? Our Parent-Teacher Association is making an appeal for any suitable donations that someone else could make use of, and would make great prizes for future raffles or tombolas. These could be unwanted chocolates, drinks, toys or other unused gifts.
Please bring any donations to the school’s reception or LRC and students will be rewarded with 10 house points. Thank you!
Thank you to all students and staff who contributed to our food bank appeal this Christmas, and also those who donated food and other items to Newcastle Dog and Cat Shelter.
Four students delivered boxes and boxes of food tins and packages to one of The Bay Foodbank‘s drop-off locations this morning. A marvellous donation by our generous school community at this time of year.
On the last day of term, Friday 21 December, there will be an early finish. After lunch, everybody, apart from Year 11, will go down to St George’s Church for our school carol
service, following which students will be dismissed from the church at approximately 2.15pm.
Year 11 will be dismissed from school at 12.30pm, but are welcome to stay for lunch if
required.
On behalf of our Parent-Teacher Association, thank you to everyone who took part in our Grand Autumn Raffle, of which the draw took place at our Halloween themed quiz night before half term. The full list of winners is published below.
Our next PTA meeting will take place on Monday 3rd December – new members are always welcome!
“Our attendance was 97% in the first half term, let’s keep this up until Christmas!”
A reminder that our Halloween themed PTA quiz night is next week, on Thursday 25 October!
Also, our grand Autumn raffle will be drawn on the night, so there’s still time to buy raffle tickets.
