Thanks to everyone who attended our Friday 13th Spooky Quiz night organised by the Parent-Teacher Association. It was a great success and there were some tremendous costumes on show too. Here’s some pictures from the event.
Wednesday 4 October 2017 17.30-19.30
Our Year 7 ‘Settling In’ evening is an opportunity to meet your child’s form tutor and discuss how they have started their time at Marden High School, both socially and academically. Other key members of staff will also be present for you to speak to, including Miss Laing (Year Coordinator), and members of our Senior Leadership team, including Mrs Reece, our SENDCO.
You will also be able to
meet members of our Parent Teacher Association who will be serving refreshments.
Appointments will run from 17.30 – 19.30, and your child will be given a slip for you to indicate your preferred time slot before receiving an appointment from their form tutor. As meetings with form tutors will be brief (five minutes) we ask that you are punctual for your allocated slot.
Year 7 reports will sent home and available on Parent Portal before this date.
If you cannot make it on the evening, you can contact Miss Laing to arrange a phone call to discuss your child’s progress at another time.
We are looking forward to seeing you there.
The Parent-Teacher Association are organising a spooky themed Quiz Night on Friday 13 October. Buy tickets from reception! Details below.
On Tuesday 19th September we will be welcoming parents and carers of Year 11 to an Information Evening in the Auditorium. There will be a brief presentation from myself and the Head of Year, Mr Scott, followed by a series of three workshops on how best students can prepare for exams in this important year and how parents can best support them. This will be an important evening as we work closely together, school and home, to get the best for our children.
I hope to see you there.
Mr. Snape.

“There have been many happy faces in school this morning as our Class of 2017 have been in to collect their results. They have done very well and it is pleasing to see that outcomes for our students have continued to rise this year in spite of the standards bar being raised and GCSEs being designed to be more difficult.
