Marden alumnus Hayley Anderson’s stunning artwork, which won ITV Daybreak’s Sketch Santa competition last month, has arrived at the school in the form of a huge banner, which now hangs proudly in the main hall. Some current Marden students and Art teacher Mrs Noble, who helped Hayley to her A* last year, posed with the banner of Hayley’s winning design.

Our Year 8 team are flying! Editing is underway in the Studio and we look on course for this afternoon’s deadline!
Our reporters are working hard, filming their introductions and gathering interviews – there are two sports report teams, a group discussing literacy at Marden and the difference between books and films, a Christmas time report, reflections on the recent passing of Nelson Mandela and a review of the recent 50th anniversary special of Dr. Who.

The results of the recent North Tyneside Cross Country tournament at Churchill Playing Fields have revealed that Marden have not one but two winning teams!
Both the Boys and Girls Intermediate teams won their team events following strong runs from our Year 10s and Year 11s – and the best placed of those students will go through to represent the school at County level at Temple Park in South Shields in January. Well done to all the runners!
Please read the following documents for more information about our Ofsted inspection this Wednesday and Thursday.
