The Science Department would like to inform parents of Year 10 Additional Science students of the following:
On March 27th the students will complete a science practical task and two written exam papers. They need to prepare for this day of assessment by using internet research to compare two websites which outline a method for the practical. The websites and other advice will be given to students on Friday, 22nd March. Candidate research forms must be returned to school on Monday, 25th March.
After several Practice News Days this year, our Year 8 team of reporters assembled this Thursday for the BBC News School Report Day proper.
Recently, Year 11s have attended Mindfulness coaching sessions by Jill Cox; a series of discussions, exercises and breathing techniques designed to help control stress and recognise worry in the build up to exams. The BBC have taken a great interest in this unique experiment at Marden and visited us at today’s session.

As part of a ‘Comenius’ project, Marden are looking to get funding for a student and teacher exchange to Turkey in 2014. Mrs Noble visited Turkey over the Christmas holidays to make initial contact with Camlaralti College in Izmir.
