Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow!
Year 11 student Hannah Sparkes is raising money for a Newcastle Freeman Hostpital based charity, Charlie Bear for Cancer Care, and has made a tremendous sacrifice, shaving her head in support of her mum, who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

Marden High students recently raised more than £240 for the charity Tiny Lives.
Marden’s Year 10 Drama students are taking part in an exciting event in early June, the upcoming Electic Iron Festival in Cullercoats.
Students will kick off the weekend event on Thursday 4th June at Cullercoats Crescent Club, performing ‘Fracking in Cullercoats’, a play they have been working on with local writer Peter Mortimer.
Tickets for this event are £6 and available from our finance office, please pay by either cash or cheque. Be sure to look out for other events taking place on Cullercoats Sea Front between Thursday 4th and Sunday 7th June.
