TERM 1

Content

Students learn to talk about friends and family.  They must describe relationships and what makes a good friend before working towards making arrangements to go out. Students will also talk about life when they were younger and discuss role models.

Skills

Learning the correct preposition to use with reflexive verbs

Using different persons of the verb

Giving opinions using ça va être + adjective

Using the correct auxiliary verb with the perfect tense and the correct form of the past participle

Using questions to structure writing

 

TERM 2

Content

Students will learn to talk about sport, their life online and books.  They should then move on to talk about television programmes, actors and films.

Skills

Changing verbs from the first to the third person to answer questions

Manipulating verbs, pronouns and possessive adjectives in your answers

Agreeing and disagreeing with opinions

 

TERM 3

Content

Students will learn to talk about food and drink and shopping for clothes.  They should be able to discuss what they eat on special occasions and describe family celebrations, festivals and traditions.

Understanding figures in French

Giving dates
